When the folks at Vermont Butcher Block saw this wood with their FDA approved food safe finish on it, all they could say was, "WOW, that's a cool orange-red color!" Before they put the finish on, the wood was naturally orange, but the finish really brings out the color. It's not a bright orange, it's more of an Orange-Red. This padauk is from Africa and sort of looks like a beautiful orange-red sunset. The board measures 11" x 7" and comes mounted on rubber feet with stainless steel screws. Stainless steel cheese knife is included!
